Everyone longs to have a home. We wish to go back home whenever we are working far, on a long trip or on a vacation. It feels good to be home-”Home Sweet Home.” Home is the place where our spirits can run free to be ourselves without being judged. When I think of home, I think of a place where love is overflowing. It is where we are accepted, affirmed, forgiven and healed from the wounds of life. I always long to be home with the who love me unconditionally.

Two bookworms, April & Susan, who may be 9,000 miles apart,
Were wonderfully surprised that their personal project created a spark
Book donations poured in from Hialeah teen students & international friends
Truly a heartwarming experience!
“Visualize, Realize a New Philippines” was born
For today’s book donor can become tomorrow’s bestselling author
Who walks the talk & makes the dream of a peaceful global community a reality
Today a beneficiary, tomorrow a missionary
One can’t stop the cycle of giving generously
No more complaining for yoau and for me
We’re part of the solution, join us and see!

Notice how the flowers grow in the field they neither toil nor spin yet our Heavenly Father takes care of them. Flowers… colorful, filled with variety of colors and sizes would always brighten one’s day. Whether you receive them on a birthday, valentines day, mother’s day, teacher’s day, engagement, on your wedding day or even when you’re sick they bring a smile on your face and brighten up your day. They communicate love, thoughtfulness and kindness that spring from the heart that is filled with goodwill.
I remember hearing the story of a priest who, when asked for advice on how to avoid future sin, encouraged his listeners to dig a ditch and lie in it for a few hours while contemplating eternity. Whenever I tell this little tale, the response it provokes is more often a fit of laughter than a trip to the tool shed in search of a shovel. And rightfully so, the story is meant as a joke. (Although, I understand that at least one man was given the ditch-digging exercise as a penance). That aside, while lying in a ditch may seem impractical and excessive, it does at least point to a valuable lesson: Keeping eternity in view can be a helpful aid to maintaining a proper perspective toward life on earth.

My father, getting frustrated with my frequent moves from jobs and residences, said this cliche with conviction, “A rolling stone gathers no moss!” Being the out-of-the box thinker that I am, I replied with so much more conviction, “A stationary stone doesn’t get anywhere!” All he could do was shake his head. Then, I moved again, this time out of the country.
Oftentimes in life, we stand at a crossroad where we are asked to make a choice. More often than not, we chose a road where we see footsteps that we can follow. This road assures us that someone has traveled there before us. It gives us a feeling of comfort and security. However, we realize later, that though the road is familiar, we do not find peace and deep feeling of joy. Then we find ourselves standing at another crossroad again…
